How Sitraa handles your data on the policy-check tool. Plain English, no jargon.
To generate your policy breakdown, you either type a few details about your insurance, or upload your policy document as a PDF. To join the waitlist, you give us your first name and email.
Your policy details (typed or uploaded) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, who generate the plain-English explanation and Shariah-lens read. We do not store your policy, your uploaded PDF, or its contents anywhere on Sitraa's systems. Once your breakdown is generated, the data leaves our infrastructure.
Anthropic retains API request data for up to 30 days for trust and safety monitoring, then deletes it. Anthropic does not use API data to train their models. Their full policy is at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Your name and email are sent to Web3Forms, who deliver the signup to our inbox. We use this only to contact you about Sitraa's launch. You can ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing hello@sitraa.co.uk.
You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're not happy with how we've handled your data. Email us first — we'll resolve things quickly.
Sitraa is in development and is not yet a regulated insurance provider. The policy-check tool is educational — it explains what's in your policy and how it sits against Islamic principles. It is not financial advice, a religious ruling, or a recommendation to change cover. If you need advice, speak to a qualified adviser.
